Charlottenburg Palace

The Charlottenburg Palace dome is one of Berlin's famous landmarks. The lavishly decorated Baroque palace was built around 1695 as a summer residence for Sophie Charlotte, Electress of Brandenburg and as of 1701, the first Queen in Prussia. Frederick the Great had the New Wing added in 1740s. The interior contains, amongst others, the famous Porcelain Collection.
