TRAVEL TIPS

Cruise Travel

Stylish and modern, the Leith Cruise Liner Terminal is a well-equipped port. Its Ocean Terminal shopping mall has a plethora of stores, cafés, and a few handy facilities such as banks with currency-changing facilities. Unusually, the port is also a stop on the tourist trail in itself, owing to the fact that it's home to the royal yacht, Britannia.

The main public transport connections to the center of Edinburgh are by bus; Lothian Buses has service to Princes Street about every five minutes in peak times; the journey takes about 25 minutes. Turner Hire and Drive is the only car-rental outlet at the port, and they're closed on Sundays. A taxi from the port to the center costs about £30.
